At the White Turtle Lodge we believe that we are what we eat and that our food is our medicine. We need to also understand how important our food is to our physical bodies. Eating healthily should not become a chore nor should it be a struggle, in essence eating healthy should be a natural process. Super-foods are becoming more popular in the world today because people are starting to understand that much of the food we consume has little or no nutritional value within them. Manmade foods and products are poisoning our physical bodies more than we shall ever fully understand and that we have a personal duty to start working towards a future where everything we eat and drink is natural from its purest source. Understanding our relationship with food and how it benefits the physical body has been under much research over the past 50 years.

At the White Turtle we host varies different lectures and talks and discuss what we can do to educate others and ourselves so we can live a much healthier and joyful life without having to worry about getting sick.
If we can firstly come to accept that much of the food we eat does not have the right amount of minerals and vitamins our body needs, then we need to start questioning the food we consume. There seems to be a lot of confusion out there in the world today where scientists and nutritionist are all speaking and discussing which food is classified as a superfood and how beneficial that food is to the physical body. Though it is good that the topics of superfoods are discussed, this has started to confuse people. Some nutritionist’s and scientists are saying one thing and others are saying another. At the White Turtle Lodge we believe that certain superfoods react and are more beneficial to some than others.

Spirit foods are different to superfoods. Firstly spirit foods are food that we should eat on a daily basis. Superfoods because of their strength and high concentration of nutrients and minerals may not be beneficial for everyone but may only be right for some.
